Landscape Construction Assistant Crew Leader

This position reports to: Landscape Construction Crew Leader

 

Position Summary: With the guidance of the Crew Leader assists with the efficient operation and installation of landscape designs.

 

Position Requirements: A vocational or professional certificate in Horticulture or Landscape Technology preferred and/or at least 1-year experience as a crew laborer preferred. Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license. Must have basic knowledge of plant and landscape materials. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as: skid steer loaders, trenchers, backhoes, chain saws, etc.

 

Accountability: Responsible for installing plant material and landscape material in a professional manner according to PLG standard operating procedures. Provide work direction in the absence of the Crew Leader. Responsible for vehicle operation, equipment operation and adherence to safety procedures.

 

Position Duties

- Coordinate and assist the Crew Leader with equipment and material needs.

- Assist the Foreman with training of crewmembers.

- Assist the Crew Leader with any paperwork.

- Conduct weekly tool inventory.

- Assist the Foreman with enforcement all company policies and procedures.

- Maintain all equipment on your job site in a clean and orderly manner.

- Conduct yourself in a professional manner with company representatives and clients.

- Complete any additional duties or assignments as directed by Division or Corporate Managers.
