Design Process

Note: Not all projects require the complete design process that is itemized below.

Preliminary Studies
1. Conference with owner
2. Identify scope of work and budget
3. Site evaluation
4. Preliminary working drawings for owner
5. Revise drawings /cost estimates
6. Preliminary selection of plant and hardscape
7. Illustrated/perspective drawings (special request, additional fee)

Working Drawings and Specifications
1. Preparation of complete working drawings.
Documents shall include all phases:
- Architectural structures
- Site layout
- Planting Plan
- Hardscape Plan
- Construction Details
- Irrigation Plan
- Accent Lighting Plan
- Site selections, i.e. furniture, sculptures, etc.
- Illustrative plans
2. Select final specifications
3. If required, approval of plans in accordance to laws and building codes.

Construction and Project Supervision
1. Prepare agreement
2. Scheduled supervision
3. Monthly invoicing
4. Change orders
5. Record of accounting
6. Walkthrough, collect payments due
