A Letter of Thanks

Mr. Patrick Lynch

Peabody Landscaping
Dear Patrick:
On behalf of the Keep Columbus Beautiful team and the City of Columbus, please accept our sincere apprecaition for your 5 years of service on the KickButtColumbus Planning Committee. You have brought much excitement and passion to this very special event and its important issue, litter.
Together we have worked to improve and grow the event, not only in volunteer strength, or even collection numbers, but in brand awareness which ultimately furthers our ultimate goal of a “litter-free” city. More people understanding that cigaretts butts thrown on our highways is littering, that litter on our ramps – the gateways to our neighborhoods is not an acceptable perception of the high quality of life our city has available.
This year we forged new paths-setting an early date, taking on a wonderful Honorary Chair, Mrs. Shelley Meyer and moving the event to a new venue, Wolfe Park. It proved to be our best year ever, with 483 volunteers cleaning 113 ramps sites and a record number of 169,554 cigarette butts collected, live event television coverage and an article in the Columbus Dispatch-finally! The unpredictable March weather was perfect, the food excellent and everyone stayed safe. 2013: A banner year for KickButt.
Thank you again for bringing out your company, the many landscape drivers to the ramps, your extraordinary sales and recruitment efforts and support for T-shirts for the 2013 event.
With Warmest Regards,
Sherri L. Palmer
